Foreign Telegraphic Transfer & Guaranteed OUR (G'OUR)

The service hours for Foreign Telegraphic Transfer (FTT) will soon be extended beyond market closing times. Please refer to the table below for details.

For Maybank2u web, MAE app and M2U Biz, the new extended hours will take effect on 2 October 2023.

The exchange rate will be locked based on the day of the transaction, as long as it was performed within the new extended hours. For example:

• FTT performed on Thursday at 7:00pm with an exchange rate of 4.64 will be processed on Friday at the same exchange rate if Friday is not a public holiday.
• FTT performed on Monday at 10:30pm with an exchange rate of 1.95 will be processed on Wednesday at the same exchange rate if Tuesday is a public holiday.
• FTT performed on Saturday at 11:00am with an exchange rate of 3.20 will be processed on Monday at the same exchange rate if Monday is not a public holiday.

• Enjoy transparent service charges upfront and guarantee the amount credited to the beneficiary’s account via Guaranteed OUR option (available on Maybank2u or Maybank2u.Biz web, the MAE app, at Maybank branches and Maybank Money Exchange Booths).
• If you are a Maybank Private, Maybank Premier or Maybank Privilege customer, you get to enjoy much lower rates when you send a minimum of RM10,000 (via Maybank2u web and the MAE app).
• Perform online overseas transfers beyond market closing times while securing exchange rates.

• Foreign Telegraphic Transfer Debit Master Foreign Currency Account (MFCA) is a service that allows you to perform Foreign Telegraphic Transfers from an additional source of funds to a recipient in their preferred currency, without being subjected to fluctuating exchange rates or additional charges to their foreign currency account.

• This service is applicable to 16 foreign currencies.

• Customers can only transfer the same currency type to the recipient's account. The recipient's bank and country may differ and this will not impact the transfer. However, mismatched currencies will be rejected as shown in the example table below:

• There is no additional fee for the above service. A flat service fee of RM10 will be charged to your local RM account as per the standard Foreign Telegraphic Transfer charges on Maybank2u. This fee will not affect or be charged from your Master Foreign Currency Account.

Guaranteed OUR (G’OUR) is a service that allows the beneficiary to receive the exact amount sent to them via Foreign Telegraphic Transfer (FTT). This service is applicable for transfers in all currencies.

When using the G’OUR service, a fixed agent fee (refer to ‘Service Charges’ section) will be charged on top of the FTT service fee. All fees incurred will be informed to the senders upfront.

This service is available from Monday to Friday, on Maybank2u or Maybank2u Biz web, the MAE app, at Maybank branches and Maybank Money Exchange Booths.
