Maybank's Covid-19 Financial Relief Scheme

Dear valued customers,

As the economy reopens, we understand that some of you may still require support in your recovery journey, and we are committed to assist you.

Following the announcement made by the Government of Malaysia on 13 October 2021, we are offering a newly co-created scheme called Financial Management and Resilience Programme (URUS) to eligible B50 individual customers on an opt-in basis, in collaboration with Agensi Kaunseling & Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK). This is in addition to the PEMULIH Repayment Assistance which is currently being offered.

Application for URUS is open now until 31 January 2022.

Financial Management and Resilience Programme (URUS) for B50 Individual


URUS is a holistic assistance package which offers repayment assistance and development support, comprising personalised financial plans, financial education programmes, and avenues to supplement incomes and obtain other development support via referrals to the Social Synergy Network.



For B50 customers who are eligible, we are offering the following:


Option 1:

  1. 3-month interest/profit waiver only

Option 2:

  1. 3-month interest/profit waiver + reduced monthly instalments of up to 24 months (inclusive of the 3-month interest/profit waiver period)

Applicable for:

  1. Mortgage Loan/Financing-i
  2. Personal Loan/Financing-i
  3. ASB Loan/Financing-i
  4. Education Loan/Financing-i
  5. Credit card balances/other revolving credit lines (e.g. overdraft/cash lines and trade credit facilities) that have been converted into term loan/financing

For Hire Purchase Loan/Financing-i, we are offering the following:


Option 1:

  1. 3-month interest/profit waiver only

Option 2:

  1. 3-month interest/profit waiver + extension of tenure up to 24 months within the maximum allowable period (inclusive of the 3-month interest/profit waiver period)

Eligibility


For B50 individual customers who meet all of the criteria below:

  1. Already under an existing repayment assistance programme (e.g. Targeted Repayment Assistance, PEMERKASA Plus, PEMULIH, bank’s own rescheduling and restructuring, etc.) as at 30 September 2021; and
  2. Have a household income of up to RM5,880; and
  3. Whose loan/financing is still performing (not in arrears for more than 90 days) as at the date of application; and
  4. Experiencing loss of employment or at least a 50% reduction in income.

Submit your application from 15 November 2021 to 31 January 2022.

Repayment Assistance Plan for Individual Customers
(under Pemulih)


For all individual customers who are impacted by the pandemic, we are offering the following:


Option 1: 6-month moratorium of monthly instalment


Option 2: 50% reduction in monthly instalment for 6 months


Applicable for:

  • Mortgage Loan/Financing-i
  • Personal Loan/Financing-i
  • ASB Loan/Financing-i
  • Education Loan/Financing-i
  • Hire Purchase Loan/Financing-i
  • Overdraft/Cashline-i (Option 1 only)
  • Credit Card/Credit Card-i (outstanding balance converted into Instalment Programme)

For Credit Card/Credit Card-i, outstanding balance can be converted into an Instalment Programme of 36 months.

For all SME and Micro Enterprises who are impacted by the pandemic, we are offering the following:


Option 1: 6-month moratorium of monthly instalment


Option 2: 50% reduction in monthly instalment for 6 months


Applicable for:

  • SME Term Loan/Financing-i
  • Business Hire Purchase Loan/Financing-i

For Tradeline Loan/Financing-i and Overdraft/Cashline-i, we will offer the 6-month moratorium.

  1. EPF statement (2020 & 2021); OR
  2. Income Tax for Year of Assessment 2019 & 2020; OR
  3. Bank Statements (latest 6 months); OR
  4. Letter of termination / retrenchment from previous employer

 

Employed with reduction in income

  • Any one (1) of the following documents:

  1. EPF statement (2020 & 2021); OR
  2. Income Tax for Year of Assessment 2019 & 2020; OR
  3. Latest 1 month salary slip in 2021 & any 1 month salary slip in 2020; OR
  4. Confirmation letter from your employment

 

Self-Employed with reduction in income

  1. Bank Statements reflective of 50% income reduction in the past 2 years; OR
