How do I activate Secure2u?

If you are a new Maybank customer with a MAE Wallet, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Launch the MAE app and tap ‘No account? Apply for a MAE Wallet now’ to begin your account opening process.

Step 2: When prompted, capture your MyKad/Passport and take a selfie

Step 3: Once you’ve created your M2U ID and password, tap on “Activate Secure2u”

Step 4: Follow the on screen steps and Secure2u will be activated after a minimum 12 hour activation period.

If you are:

  1. An existing Maybank customer changing from an old device to a new device
  2. A new Maybank customer who recently opened a Current/Savings account;

kindly follow the steps below:

Step 1: Upon login MAE app with your M2U ID and password, tap on 'Activate Secure2u'

Step 2: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your registration

Step 3: Prepare your card that was mentioned upon completion of registration to bring to the Maybank ATM for Secure2u activation

Step 4: At a Maybank ATM, insert your card and key in its PIN

Step 5: On the Main Menu, select ‘Secure2u Activation’and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your activation. Once activated, you will go through a minimum activation period of 12 hours

If you are an existing Maybank customer re-activating on the same device, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Launch the MAE app and tap 'Secure2u' under Quick Actions

Step 2: Tap 'Activate Now'

Step 3: Confirm your mobile and enter the One Time Password (OTP) received via Push Notification

Step 4: Enter your IC/Passport/BRN number

Step 5: Confirm your device name and you're done!
