Maybank has launched a Sustainability Linked Loan Programme for commercial banking clients

Maybank's Sustainability-Linked Loans (SLLs) enable businesses to achieve ambitious growth goals without compromising their sustainability commitment. The SLL structure embeds strong financial incentives into general corporate financing, directly rewarding clients for achieving key environmental and social targets.

How?

A Sustainability-Linked Loan is a type of financing that binds its loan terms – such as interest rates – with achieving pre-agreed sustainability performance targets (SPTs). Whether it be reducing greenhouse gas emissions or improving labour practices, achieving these targets will introduce more attractive loan terms that allows you to strengthen your brand and make a difference.

By partnering with industry-leading data collection and assurance partners, we have established a more streamlined path to sustainability than ever before. With Maybank Sustainability Linked-Loans, sustainability isn’t complicated – it’s only one click away.
