Increased combined daily transfer limit!


Effective 7 April 2025, we have increased the combined daily limits for Foreign Telegraphic Transfer (FTT), Maybank Overseas Transfer (MOT), Bakong Transfer* and DuitNow Overseas Transfer*. This means, you will be able to send larger amounts of funds conveniently.

*Please note that the sub-limit for Bakong Transfer and DuitNow Overseas Transfer’s are still maintained at RM10,000 and RM3,000 daily, respectively.

Kindly note that once you increase your limit, a 12-hour cooling-off period will apply before the new limit can take effect. During this time, you can only make overseas transfers up to your current limit. Rest assured that you will be notified via push notification or SMS on when the period starts and ends. Please ensure your MAE app is updated via the App Store, Google Play or Huawei AppGallery to enjoy your new limits. Avoid downloading APK files from unofficial sources to protect your device from malware. Learn more about the MAE app here.

What is DuitNow Overseas Transfer


DuitNow Overseas Transfer is a service which allows customers to initiate and receive instant fund transfers using a recipient’s mobile phone number in Singapore that has been enabled by DuitNow Operator.

  3. Verification of recipient account - The first two letters of the account holder’s first and last name will be displayed upon entering the recipient's DuitNow ID (mobile number)

Registration


You no longer need an account number to send or receive money! Just link your TAC mobile number in Maybank2u web or the MAE app to start sending and receiving money using DuitNow Overseas Transfer.

Transfer


DuitNow Overseas Transfer via the MAE app

  1. Login to your MAE app and tap on ‘Transfer’
  2. Go to ‘Overseas’ tab and select the ‘Overseas’ tile under New Transfer
  3. Select debiting account and click Next
  4. Select SGD and enter your transfer amount
  5. Select ‘DuitNow Overseas Transfer’ and key in recipient’s mobile number
  6. Select the Country Code and follow the on screen instructions
  7. Double check the transfer details and approve the transfer via Secure2U
  8. Your transfer is successful!

DuitNow Overseas Transfer via Maybank web

  1. Login to Maybank2u via web and select ‘Payment
  2. Click ‘Transfer to’ and select ‘Overseas’ (FTT, Western Union, Visa Direct, Maybank Overseas Transfer, DuitNow Overseas Transfer)
  3. Click on ‘New Transfer’ and select the country you wish to transfer to
  4. Select SGD and enter your transfer amount
  5. Select ‘DuitNow Overseas Transfer’ and key in recipient’s mobile number
  6. Select the Country Code and follow the on screen instructions
  7. Double check the transfer details and approve the transfer via Secure2U
  8. Your transfer is successful!
