Kindly be informed that starting 11 June 2026, the MAE app will no longer support devices running on iOS 14 and iOS 15.0. This is part of our continuous efforts to keep your online banking experience safe and secure.

To ensure uninterrupted access, optimal performance and the latest security enhancements, we recommend updating your device to iOS 26, as newer OS versions provide improved protection and compatibility with the latest MAE app features.

  1. How do I check or update my mobile device’s operating system (OS)?

    Go to Settings > General > Software Update on your mobile device to check your current OS version and update it if a new version is available.

  2. I’m unable to update my mobile device’s OS. What do I do?

    You may need to check if your mobile device is compatible with the required OS version.

  3. If my mobile device’s OS is not updated before 11 June 2026, can I still use the current MAE app?

    Yes, you can continue using the MAE app before 11 June 2026. You will need to update your device OS to iOS 15.1 and above to continue using the MAE app after 11 June 2026.

    However, we recommend updating to iOS 26 to ensure uninterrupted access, optimal performance and the latest security enhancements, as newer OS versions provide improved protection and compatibility with the latest MAE app features.

  4. What happens if I do not update my OS after 11 June 2026?

    You will no longer be able to use the MAE app on your mobile device. Please update your device to iOS 15.1 or above to avoid any interruptions. However, to ensure improved security, we recommend updating to iOS 26.

  5. My mobile device is old and is not eligible to update the OS. What do I do?

    You are advised to download the MAE app on a compatible mobile device with the required operating system to continue using the MAE app.

    Please note installing the MAE app on a new device will require you to activate Secure2u again at the Maybank ATM with a minimum of 12 hours cooling period. To read more about activating your MAE app on a new device, click here.

  6. Why is the MAE app only usable on iOS 15.1 and above?

    Operating systems for your devices are continuously updated to improve the performance, stability and most importantly, the security of the device; including the apps within the devices. Your online banking security is our utmost priority so we strongly encourage you to update your OS regularly, with iOS 26 recommended for improved security, performance and compatibility.

  7. I am an Android user. Am I affected by this update?

    No, this update is strictly for devices with iOS operating systems only.

  8. Am I still able to use Maybank2u web?

    Yes, you will still be able to log in to Maybank2u web via your device browser. However, you will not be able to perform any transactions, as you would need access to the MAE app to approve the any transactions via Secure2u.

  9. I am not sure whether my mobile device supports iOS 15.1. How do I check?

    Kindly refer to the Apple official website to see the list of operating systems supported.
