Maybank's Covid-19 Financial Relief Scheme

Dear valued customers,

As the economy reopens, we understand that some of you may still require support in your recovery journey, and we are committed to assist you.

In line with the joint announcement by The Association of Banks in Malaysia, Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia and Agensi Kaunseling & Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK) on 14 October 2021, we will be offering a newly co-created scheme called Financial Management and Resilience Programme (URUS) to eligible B50 individual customers on an opt-in basis. This is in addition to the PEMULIH Repayment Assistance which is currently being offered.

Application for URUS will be open from 15 November 2021 to 31 January 2022. We will share more details on how to submit your application soon.

Financial Management and Resilience Programme (URUS)


Application opens from 15 November 2021 to 31 January 2022

URUS is a holistic assistance package which offers repayment assistance and development support, comprising personalised financial plans, financial education programmes, and avenues to supplement incomes and obtain other development support via referrals to the Social Synergy Network.



Eligibility


For B50 individual customers who meet all of the criteria below:

  1. Already under an existing repayment assistance programme (e.g. Targeted Repayment Assistance, PEMERKASA Plus, PEMULIH, bank’s own rescheduling and restructuring, etc.) as at 30 September 2021; and
  2. Have a household income of up to RM5,880; and
  3. Whose loan/financing is still performing (not in arrears for more than 90 days) as at the date of application; and
  4. Experiencing loss of employment or at least a 50% reduction in income.

Repayment Assistance Plan for Individual Customers
(under Pemulih)


For all individual customers who are impacted by the pandemic, we are offering the following:


Option 1: 6-month moratorium of monthly instalment


Option 2: 50% reduction in monthly instalment for 6 months


Applicable for:

  • Mortgage Loan/Financing-i
  • Personal Loan/Financing-i
  • ASB Loan/Financing-i
  • Education Loan/Financing-i
  • Hire Purchase Loan/Financing-i
  • Overdraft/Cashline-i (Option 1 only)
  • Credit Card/Credit Card-i (outstanding balance converted into Instalment Programme)

For Credit Card/Credit Card-i, outstanding balance can be converted into an Instalment Programme of 36 months.

  • SME Term Loan/Financing-i
  • Business Hire Purchase Loan/Financing-i

For Tradeline Loan/Financing-i and Overdraft/Cashline-i, we will offer the 6-month moratorium.
