Maybank's Covid-19 Financial Relief Scheme

We understand that some of you are facing financial challenges due to the pandemic and we are committed to assist you.

To help you weather through this difficult period, we are offering 2 types of assistance packages.

Targeted Repayment Assistance (TRA) packages for B40 & micro SMEs


As announced by the Government, this is targeted to assist B40 and micro SME customers.


Kindly click below to view the Targeted Repayment Asisstance package options available for each loan/financing type:



  • For Mortgage, Education, ASB and SME Loan/Financing

    • Option 1A – Defer monthly instalment for 3 months only;
    • Option 1B – Defer monthly instalment for 3 months + pay 50% monthly instalment for the next 6 months; or
    • Option 2 – Pay 50% monthly instalment for 6 months

  • For Hire Purchase

    Package – Defer monthly instalment for 3 months + extend loan tenure

    The tenure extension is offered to further ease your financial burden with a more manageable monthly instalment for a longer period, after the 3-month deferment ends.

  • For Personal Loan/Financing on fixed rate

    • Option 1 – Defer monthly instalment for 3 months; or
    • Option 2 – Pay 50% monthly instalment for the next 6 months

  • For Credit Card (balance converted to Instalment Programme)

    • Option 1 – Defer monthly payment for Instalment Programme for 3 months; or
    • Option 2 – Pay 50% of monthly payment for Instalment Programme for the next 6 months

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Individual customers who are categorised as B40 and are recipients of the Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH)/Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR);
  2. SME customers who are microenterprises, as defined by SME Corporation Malaysia (annual sales turnover of less than RM300,000 OR have less than 5 employees), with approved loans/financing amount of up to RM150,000.

Application Period

23 November 2020 until 30 June 2021. The TRA will take effect from 1 December 2020 to 30 June 2021.

Repayment Assistance (RA) packages


This Repayment assistance is available to all Maybank individual and SME customers who are facing financial difficulties as a result of the pandemic, including customers who have lost their jobs or suffered a reduction in income. Please reach out to us and we will customise a Repayment Assistance package to suit your current circumstances and financial position.


For M40 customers who are registered in the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional database, whose household incomes have been impacted by the pandemic, we have simplified the application process in which only a self-declaration is required to be submitted.

Eligibility Criteria

All Maybank individual and SME customers with loan/financing denominated in Ringgit Malaysia and impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
