Frequently Asked Questions
- I only use Maybank and MAE as my bank account and e-wallet. How can I complete the ‘Qualify with a Transfer’ step?
You can ask friends or family who have other banks or e-wallets to transfer the funds into your Maybank account or MAE wallet. - I transferred RM200 from other banks or e-wallets into my Maybank savings account, but I fund my Tabung using my MAE Wallet. Do I qualify for the Draw?
Yes you qualify for the Draw. - When transferring from other banks or e-wallets I include the word ‘JOM’ in the ‘Optional Payment Details’ field instead of the ‘Recipient Reference’ field. Will it still count?
No it does not count, as ‘JOM’ must be entered in the mandatory ‘Recipient Reference’ field for you to qualify. For your reference, other banks or e-wallets may name their mandatory field as “What is it for” or “Note”. - I created my Tabung on 31 March 2026 but the app only allows me to choose a start date of 2 April 2026. I completed all the campaign requirements on 31 March 2026 itself, do I still qualify for the Draw?
Yes, you qualify for the Draw because you created the Tabung within the campaign period. - Do I earn more entries if I create multiple ‘JOM’ Tabungs?
Yes. Every Tabung a customer creates that meets the eligibility criteria will earn entries into the Draw. - Can I win more than one cash prize if I have multiple eligible ‘JOM’ Tabungs?
No, each customer can only win one RM1,000 cash prize. Earn additional entries by using Tabung features as well as creating multiple eligible Tabungs to increase your chances of winning. Good luck! - I renamed my old Tabung to a ‘JOM’ Tabung. Will I be eligible?
No, all ‘JOM’ Tabungs have to be newly created during campaign period of 22 January – 31 March 2026. - I accidentally changed my ‘JOM’ Tabung name to a name without 'JOM', will I be eligible?
No, all ‘JOM’ Tabungs have to be named this way until the end of the campaign - I created my ‘JOM’ Tabung and saved RM1,000 before I did my interbank funds transfer. Am I still eligible?
Yes you are, as long as you complete all the required steps. - Does saving in Tabung earn you any interest?
Tabung earns you interest if it is linked to a Maybank Current or Savings account. The rates are the same as interest rates earned on a Kawanku Savings account. If the Tabung is linked to a MAE wallet, the Tabung does not earn interest.
