Debit Card Replacement via Maybank2u website


Important Notice 


We are pleased to inform that replacement of the Maybank Debit Cards may now be applied via Maybank2u. The new Maybank Debit Card will be delivered within nine (9) working days to your address within Malaysia and thirty (30) working days for overseas, from the date of application.

How to apply for a Maybank Debit Card replacement via Maybank2u?


Step 1

Log in to Maybank2u (www.maybank2u.com.my)

Step 2

Go to ‘SETTINGS’ and select ‘CARDS'

Step 3

Under ‘Manage Debit Cards’, go to ‘Debit Card – Replace, Activate & Block’ and select ‘Replace Card’

Step 4

Follow instructions to complete steps and click ‘Submit’

What type of Maybank Debit Card that can be replaced via Maybank2u?


All existing debit cards can be replaced with the exception of the following:

  • Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Debit Card
  • Maybank Visa Debit Picture Card
  • Maybank Premier Visa Debit Card

  • You may proceed for debit card replacement via Maybank2u, Maybank Debit Card Kiosk or nearest Maybank branches.

Q2. Who can apply for a replacement of Maybank Debit Card via Maybank2u?

  • All existing Maybank Debit Cardmembers who wish to replace their Debit Cards for any reason can apply, except for Lost /Stolen & Forgotten PIN.

Q3. What type of Maybank Debit Card that can be replaced via Maybank2u?

  • All existing debit cards can be replaced with the exception of the following:
    • Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Debit Card
    • Maybank Visa Debit Picture Card

  • Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u (www.maybank2u.com.my)

Q5. When will I receive my replacement Maybank Debit Card?

  • You will receive your Maybank Debit Card replacement within 9 working days (address within Malaysia) or 30 working days (overseas), from the date of application submission via Maybank2u.

Q6. Is there any replacement fee?

  • No. There is no debit card replacement fee.

Q7. What are the documents do I need to bring when replacing my debit card at Maybank branch?

  • You are required to bring your original MyKad & the existing debit card for this replacement purposes.

Q8. I’m living in overseas and my current card is expiring soon. What do I need to do?

  • You may apply via Maybank2u and new card will be delivered within thirty (30) working days from the date of application.

Q9. How do I activate my replacement Debit Card?

  • The activation can be performed via the following channels:
    • Maybank2u website (www.maybank2u.com.my)
      • Log in to Maybank2u website
      • Go to Settings > CARDS > Manage Debit Cards > Activate
    • Maybank’s ATM
      • Insert Cards > Select Language > Enter PIN >
      • Select Other Transaction > Other Services > Next Screen > Card Activation

Q10. What happens to my old debit card once I have replaced it?

  • Once the new debit card is activated, your old debit card will be permanently de-activated. For Maybank2u replacement, kindly destroy the existing debit card once the new debit card is

Q11: What do I need to do in order to use my new Debit Card for purchase?

You will need to set the Purchase Limit on your new Debit Card via the steps below.

  • Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u.
  • Step 2: Click on Settings and select Cards.
  • Step 3: Under Manage Debit Cards, select Preferred Purchase Limit.
  • Step 4: Request for SMS TAC and click Save to complete.

Q12: What do I need to do in order to make online purchase?

For online purchase, you are required to set your Purchase Limit (refer to Q11) and activate Online Transaction via the steps below.

  • Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u.
  • Step 2: Click on Settings and select Cards.
  • Step 3: Under Manage Debit Cards, select Debit Card E-Commerce Activation.
  • Step 4: Click Activate to complete.

Q13: What do I need to do in order to make overseas purchase?

For overseas purchase, you are required to set your Purchase Limit (refer to Q11) and activate Overseas Activation via the steps below.

  • Step 1: Log in to Maybank2u.
  • Step 2: Click on Settings and select Cards.
  • Step 3: Under Manage Debit Cards, select Overseas Debit Card Activation.
  • Step 4: Click Disable and set your preferred date.
  • Step 5: Request for SMS TAC and click Confirm to complete.
