[UPDATED] More transactions will require authorisation via Secure2u on MAE

Dear Valued Customers,

Please take note that Secure2u authorisation will be moved to the MAE app on 1 July 2023. Secure2u on the MAE app will be the only authorisation method for you to approve for the following transactions:

If you are currently using M2U MY app for Secure2u authorisation, please switch to the MAE app as it will be the only app for Secure2u authorisation starting 1 July 2023. This is part of our continuous effort to enhance your online banking security, in line with Bank Negara Malaysia’s latest update to combat financial scams.

How to activate Secure2u on the MAE app:

Step 1: Launch the app and tap ‘Secure2u’ under Quick Actions

Step 2: Tap ‘Activate Now’

Step 3: Confirm your mobile number and enter the One Time Password (OTP) received via SMS

Step 4: Enter your ID number

Step 5: Confirm your device name and you’re all set!

Kindly also note that there will be a minimum 12-hour activation period when you enable Secure2u on the MAE app for the first time, or when you enable Secure2u on the MAE app on a different device. During this time, any transactions requiring Secure2u authorisations will not be available.

How to use Secure2u:

Step 1: Log in to the MAE app or Maybank2u website to perform a transaction

Step 2: You'll receive a Secure2u push notification via the MAE app on your registered device

Step 3: Open the notification and approve or reject the transaction with just one tap, with no additional login required
