What is RM100 eMADANI?


eMADANI is an initiative from the government for eligible beneficiaries with an annual income below RM100,000. This program is estimated to benefit approximately 10 million Malaysians in the form of RM100 e-wallet credit that can be used for purchases in brick and mortar businesses through participating e-wallet service providers.

When is the date to redeem RM100 eMADANI?


The eMADANI RM100 redemption period is from 4 December 2023 to 20 February 2024.

Who is eligible for RM100 eMADANI?


The eligibility criteria for individuals to participate in the RM100 eMADANI programme are:

  1. Malaysian citizens; and
  2. Aged 21 years and above as of 2023; and
  3. Recipients of Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) based on record as of 7 November 2023
    OR
    earning an annual income of RM100,000 and below based on the Inland Revenue Board’s (IRB) record as of 15 July 2023.

How to redeem RM100 eMADANI via the MAE app?


Follow these steps to claim RM100 eMADANI via the MAE app: 

Step 1: Launch the MAE app

Step 2: Tap on the ‘eMADANI’ icon on the main page

Step 3: Enter your information and tap ‘Submit’

Step 4: You will receive notification when your eMADANI RM100 redemption is successful! 

Where can the RM100 eMADANI be used?


The RM100 eMADANI can only be used to make physical QR code payments at any merchant nationwide, including DuitNow QR code merchants of participating banks & eWallets. RM100 eMADANI cannot be used for the transactions listed below: 

  • Peer-to-peer transfers
  • Cash-outs
  • App-integrated payment of utility bills
  • App-integrated payment of government related fees/payments
  • App-integrated payment of telco postpaid bills and prepaid service top-ups
  • App-integrated games purchases
  • App-integrated parking and/or toll fee payments 
  • App-integrated investment related activities
  • Cross-border QR transactions

How to use the RM100 eMADANI during payment?


There are two payment methods to use the RM100 eMADANI during payment via the MAE app. You can scan the merchant's QR code or show your QR code to the cashier to be scanned via Scan & Pay.
