How to transfer money overseas with Western Union via MAE app?


Step 1: Tap on ‘Transfer’ under Quick Actions

Step 2: Select ‘Overseas’ on the top menu bar

Step 3: Tap ‘Overseas’ and select a country

Step 4: Select an account, then enter the transfer amount and choose a currency

Step 5: Choose ‘Western Union’ and enter the transaction details

Step 6: Review the details, then authorise the transaction via Secure2u and you’re done!

How to transfer money overseas with Western Union via M2U web?


Step 1: Log in, then select ‘Pay & Transfer’ and click on ‘Transfer’

Step 2: Select an account to transfer from and choose transfer to ‘Overseas’

Step 3: Choose a country, then enter the transfer amount and choose a currency

Step 4: Click ‘Compare’ and choose ‘Western Union’

Step 5: Enter the transaction details then click ‘Transfer’

Step 6: Review the details, then authorise the transaction via Secure2u on the MAE app and you’re done!

Terms and conditions


  • The campaign is open to selected Maybank customers with an active Maybank2u ID/account that receive an invitation from Maybank through push notification/EDM during the campaign period.
  • Cashback is limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis each campaign week.
  • Limited to 1 cashback per customer per campaign period.
  • Cashback will be credited to the eligible customers’ accounts within 60 days after the campaign ends.
