Account - (2.1)Who can apply for Online Stocks?

To apply for Maybank2u.com Online Stocks trading, you need to:

• Have a Maybank ATM or Maybank credit card
• Have an existing account with Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as Aseambankers) dealers OR a Maybankinvest account.

Account -(2.2)Do I need to pay any subscription fee?

The Maybank2u.com Online Stocks trading facility is presently FREE to all Maybank customers who have a trading account with Maybank Share Trading and Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as Aseambankers).

Account - (2.3)What if I have a Maybank Share Trading and a Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as Aseambankers) share trading account?

If you hold two accounts, you will be given the option to select whichever account you want to use for trading.

Account - (2.4)Can I apply for a Maybank Share Trading account via Maybank2u.com?

Yes, you can. Login to Maybank2u.com with your Username and Password. Select Online Application. Then select Non-margin Facility. Type in your personal details and then "Submit". You will be notified by our Investment Share Executives, once your application has been approved.

Account - (2.5)How do I activate my trading account online?

Once our Investment Share Executive notifies you that your application has been approved, login to Maybank2u.com with your Username and Password. Select Online Stocks. You will be prompted to fill in and submit your details for Online activation.

Account - (2.6)How will I know if my application for Maybank2u.com Online Stocks trading has been approved?

You will be notified by our Investment Share Executive once your application has been approved.

Account - (2.7)Can I still access Maybank2u.com online stocks if I have not log in for more than 6 months?

No, you will not be able to access the Online Stocks if you have not log in to online banking for more than 6 months although you have been actively trading via alternate online stocks login. When you encounter this you are advised to visit any of our branches to renew the access for Online Banking.

Trading and Settlement - (3.1) How to perform buying and selling shares via online stocks?

At the top of Live Quotes you will notice the Buy / Order/ Sell bar. These features enable you to do your online stock transactions.

1. Click on Buy (the green button) to place order.
2. On the pop-up screen, type in the quantity of shares you want to purchase.
3. Type in your desired purchase value, or select one of the predefined values in the dropdown list.
4. If you have more than one trading account. Select the appropriate account from the dropdown list.
5. You may click on the OK button to send the order.

Login to Online Stocks and select "User Guide" > "Trading" for more information on these features.

Trading and Settlement - (3.2)How do I view live quotes? To view live quotes:

a. Click Online Stocks in the left menu after login.
b. The Welcome to Online Stocks page will be displayed.
c. Click on Live Quotes to view the price quotes.

Trading and Settlement - (3.3)How do I get confirmation of my trade order?

You can check whether your trade order is pending or matched by viewing your Order Status on screen.

Yes. Login to Online Stocks and select "User Guide" for more information on these features.

Trading and Settlement - (3.5)Can I make payment via other banks?

Payment to Maybank Investment Bank Berhad can be made via the following banks:

*Please indicate your client code & contact number at the back of the cheque. Ensure you bank in the cheque to the right Maybank Investment Bank branch account where your trading account is being maintained.

For payment via the Maybank account, please indicate your client code and/or contract number under the Reference column. Please do not bank in via the Maybank Cheque Deposit Machine (Scanner version).

System - (4.1) What is the recommended ISP speed for online stocks?

The recommended internet speed is 1Mbps.

System - (4.2)Will I be log out when I leave my computer idle for a period of time?

Yes, for security reasons the session will be automatically terminated as "sessions expired" if you leave your computer idle for certain period of time (more than 15 minutes).

System - (4.3)Do I need to protect my computer when I access into Maybank2u.com online stocks?

Customer is advised to periodically update Windows Operating System for new patches, fixes and also update your Anti-Virus /spyware software.

System - (4.4)Can I use other internet browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari and etc.?

Online stocks is supported by Internet Explorer browser (version 6.0 and above).

5. How can I get more information about the features and tools available in Online Stocks?

The "User Guide" in the Online Stocks page offers a comprehensive guide to all features and tools available. 

5.1 What is Bursa Trade Securities?

BT Securities (BT) is a trading platform or a trading system that will change the way Bursa Malaysia conducts trading, information dissemination, clearing and surveillance of the securities market. Login to Online Stocks and select "User Guide" for more information on these features.

5.2 What are the trading phases, trading hours and functions available in each phase in BT?

5.3 Where can I see the Theoretical Opening Price (TOP) and Theoretical Closing Price (TCP) in my Live Quotes?

The column/field name T-O will be displayed after you have successfully downloaded the new CAB file. The TOP and TCP will be displayed in the same T-O column/field.

5.4 How to download the new CAB file?

5.5 What will happen if I select "Don't Install"?

You will not able to view the price feed. You may log out and log in again to select "Install".

5.6 What should I do if I am unable to view the new features?

You may log out and log in again to select "Install".

Troubleshooting - (6.1)What should I do if I am unable to view stock prices?

1. CAB file downloading was unsuccessful
   • Log out and close Microsoft Internet Explorer.
   • Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer once again.
   • Under the main menu, select Tools > Internet Options > Security Tab > Internet icon > "Custom Level" button. The Security Settings window is displayed
   • Select "enable" all ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
   • Reset your custom settings to "Medium".
   • Click "OK" to complete the setting.
2. The information could be blocked by your company policy that may restrict what may be viewed online. You have to change your browser settings.

Troubleshooting -(6.2) I am unable to view quotes after successfully downloading CAB files. Try these options:

• Refresh the Live Quotes web page
• Switch from Real-Time to Http-Realtime mode by selecting the "Http Real-Time" link at the bottom of the "Live Quotes" page

Troubleshooting - (6.3)What are the possible reasons for slow response while accessing Maybank2u.com online stocks?

Customer is advised to check the following 
 a. Ensure that your computer is free from any infection of malicious viruses or spywares.
 b. Ensure that your computer is running with minimal window applications at access time
 c. Please call your internet service provider when you encounter slow response time and also ensure that your Internet speed is able to give the desired performance.

Troubleshooting - (6.4)I am unable to Buy & Sell. What should I do?

Refresh your computer screen or exit and re-login Online Stock again.

Close all Internet Explorer screens and Run IE as Administrator.

Troubleshooting - (6.5)How do I reset my trading password?

The trading password is same as the Maybank2u.com login password. You can change your password using the Utilities facility after logging in to Maybank2u.com.

Troubleshooting - (6.6)Why am I unable to access online stocks through my company network computer?

If you are unable to download and view Online Stocks from your work place, you may need to check your organisation's policy on security settings. Internet connection should be set to enable connection to Port 80 & 81.

Troubleshooting - (6.7)How do I trade if the system is down?

Please call SIC, Dealer, or Remisier.
