8% Sales & Service Tax (SST) on Selected Maybank Financial Services
Dear Valued Customer,
Effective 22 May 2026, an 8% Sales & Service Tax (SST) will apply to the Application Fee, Agent/Beneficiary Fee and/or Service Fee on selected Maybank services, in line with Royal Malaysian Customs Department requirements.
What this means for you:
- No action is needed on your part — existing scheduled and recurring transactions will continue as usual.
- The 8% SST will appear as a separate line on your transaction confirmation and receipt.
- Your payment experience stays the same. The tax will be added to the applicable fees where relevant.
