What is a Top-up PIN?


A Top-up PIN is a digital reward code that you can use to redeem a cash value (e.g. RM 0.50, RM5, RM10 etc) into your MAE Wallet. The values differ according to the occasion.

Why do I receive a Top-up PIN?


You may receive a Top-up PIN for the following reasons:

  • Participation in promotions or campaigns
  • As a reward for completing certain activities
  • Winning a campaign
  • Special occasions (e.g. festive campaigns, birthday rewards etc.)

How do I redeem the Top-up PIN?


You can redeem your Top-up PIN in several ways:

  1. Automatic Redemption via Push Notification



  2. For users without MAE wallet



  3. Redemption via Notification Centre



  4. Manual redemption



Where will I receive the Top-up PIN?


You may receive your Top-up PIN via:

  • MAE app push notification
  • Email
  • Notification centre in the MAE app

How many times can I reuse the Top-up PIN?


Each Top-Up PIN can only be redeemed once and is tied to one user only. Once redeemed, it cannot be reused or transferred.

Is there an expiry date for the Top-up PIN?


Yes. All Top-Up PINs have an expiry date. You must redeem the PIN before the expiry date stated as expired PINs will no longer be valid. Validity will be stated on the push notification’s landing page.

Can I transfer or share my Top-up PIN with others?


Top-up PINs are non-transferable and intended for the recipient only.

What can I use the credited amount for?


Once redeemed, the money in your MAE Wallet can be used for different banking transactions, such as:

  • QR payments
  • Online transactions
  • Bill payments
  • Transfers

How long does it take for the value to be credited?


Once successfully redeemed, the amount will be credited instantly into your MAE Wallet.

What happens if I enter an invalid or expired PIN?


If the PIN is:

Invalid → Please check and re-enter it correctly

Expired → The PIN can no longer be redeemed

Already used → It cannot be used again
