Banker's Cheque Stamp Duty Charges Will No Longer Be Borne by the Bank
Dear Valued Customer,
Kindly be informed that, effective 22nd November 2025, Maybank will no longer bear the cost of stamp duty for banker’s cheque.
A stamp duty charge of RM1.00 per Banker’s cheque will be payable by customers.
The stamp duty charge is pursuant to the revised stamp duty payable for cheque-related instruments, outlined in the Finance Act 2024 gazetted on 31 December 2024.
