As outlined by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, an 8% Sales & Service Tax (SST) has been implemented on the Application Fee, Agent/Beneficiary Fee and/or Service Fee effective 27 April 2026 for selected Maybank financial services.

Starting 8 July 2026, the 8% SST will also apply to the Service Fee for Maybank's Will/Wasiat and Central Depository System (CDS) Account Opening service, and will appear as a separate line on your transaction confirmation and receipt.
