AMB Global Income Trust Fund (the "Fund") is a fixed income (close-ended) fund under income fund type.

The Fund aims to provide income* by investing in a porfolio of fixed income instruments. The Fund does not provide capital protection nor capital guarantee.

*Income distributed will be paid by cash via bank transfer into your bank account.

The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 70.00% to a maximum of 99.50% of the Fund's NAV in fixed income instruments and a minimum of 0.50% of the Fund's NAV in liquid assets.

The Fund's investment universe will be in local and/or foreign fixed income instruments in countries of Eligible Markets where the regulatory authority is an ordinary or associate member of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). The Fund will invest in bonds which carry a minimum rating of BBB- by Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC (S&P) or equivalent by Moody's Investors Service (Moody's), Fitch Ratings Inc. (Fitch) or any other rating agencies. Local bonds rated by RAM Rating Services Berhad (RAM) will carry a minimum rating of BBB or equivalent by Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) or any other rating agencies.

If the rating of a bond held by the Fund falls below the minimum rating stated above, the External Investment Manager, Amundi Malaysia Sdn Bhd will discuss with the Manager on a mutually agreeable approach in the best interests of the Fund and will dispose of the bond as soon as practicable. Nevertheless, we may continue to hold the downgraded bond if the immediate disposal of the bond would not be in the best interest of Unit Holders.

The Fund is launched on Maybank's Platform on 20 July 2017. The Manager is Amanah Mutual Berhad, the External Investment Manager is Amundi Malaysia Sdn Bhd and the Trustee is SCBMB Trustee Berhad.

  • The fund is suitable for investors who:
    • have a medium term investment goal of 3 years;
    • are willing to accept risk returns from investment in fixed income instruments;
    • have the ability to keep their investment in the Fund for the next 3 years; and
    • seek income distributions during the tenure of the Fund.
  • Asset Allocation as follows:
    • 70.00% - 99.50% of the Fund's NAV in fixed income instruments; and
    • 0.50% - 30.00% of the Fund's NAV in liquid assets.
  • The Fund's income distribution is declared at the end of the financial year end of the Fund or for any specified period at the Manager's discretion.
  • The benchmark is 12-months Maybank fixed deposit rate.
  • Sales Charge per Unit is up to 1.50% of the NAV per unit, exclusive of Goods and Services Tax ("GST").
  • Redemption fee is 1.50% of the NAV per unit on any redemption of Units made at any point of time before the maturity date of the Fund. The redemption charge imposed will be for the benefit of the unit holders for the Fund.
  • Transfer facility is RM25 per transfer.
  • No switching fee as the switching facility is not available for the Fund.
  • Base currency is Malaysian Ringgit.
  • Minimum balance of investment is 200 units.
  • Annual management fee is 0.08% per annum of the NAV of the Fund.
  • Trustee fee is 0.04% per annum of the NAV of the Fund subject to a minimum of RM12,000.00 per annum (excluding foreign custodian fees and charges)
  • Minimum initial investment is RM1,000.00 and minimum additional investment is RM100.00.
  • Redemption monies to be paid within ten (10) calendar days from the date of redemption request is received by the Manager.
  • Cooling off period, unit holders may exercise cooling-off rights within six (6) business days commencing from the date the application of investment received by the Manager.
