TA Balance Income Fund (the "Fund") is a fixed income (close-ended) fund under income and growth fund type.

The Fund aims to provide capital preservation* and income**.

*Investors are advised that this Fund is neither a capital guaranteed nor a capital protected fund. The capital will be preserved by investments in ZNIDs and Bonds. Consequently, the return of capital is SUBJECT TO the credit and default risk of the issuers of the ZNIDs and Bonds.

**The Fund will invest in Structured Warrants to provide potential annual returns. Income distribution will be paid to you by way of cash deposit to a bank account held in your own name.

The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 85% of its NAV in fixed income instruments comprising 36-month RM denominated ZNID issued by Malaysian financial institutions rated at least "A" by RAM (credit rating herein refer to issuer of ZNID) or equivalent and local Bonds with at least "AA" by RAM or equivalent which aim to repay the initial investment of investors at Maturity Date (including sales charges). Up to 10% of the Fund's NAV will be invested in Structured Warrants to provide potential annual returns. The remainder of the Fund's NAV will be invested in deposits.

A minimum of 50% of the Fund's NAV will be invested in RM denominated ZNID and a maximum of 50% of the Fund's NAV will be invested in Bonds with tenures that match (i.e. 3 years) or are similar to the tenure (i.e. shorter than 3 years) of the Fund. The value of the Fund's investments in fixed income instruments issued by any single issuer shall not exceed 20% of the Fund's NAV.

The Fund is launched on Maybank's Platform on 14 July 2017. The Manager is TA Investment Management Berhad and the trustee is CIMB Commerce Trustee Berhad.

  • The fund is suitable for investors who:
    • who seek income over medium term;
    • who have low to moderate risk profile; and
    • who seek capital preservation.
  • Asset Allocation as follow:
    • Minimum of 85% of the Fund's NAV in fixed income instruments.
    • Maximum of 10% of the Fund's NAV in Structured Warrants.
    • Maximum of 5% of the Fund's NAV in deposits.
  • The Fund's Income distribution policy is subject to the availability of income, distribution will be made once a year.
  • The benchmark is 12 month fixed deposit rate by Malayan Banking Berhad.
  • Sales Charge per Unit is up to 3.00% of the NAV per unit, exclusive of Goods and Services Tax ("GST").
  • Redemption fee is 3.00% of the NAV per unit on any redemption of Units made at any point of time before the maturity date of the Fund. The redemption charge imposed will be for the benefit of the unit holders for the Fund.
  • Transfer facility is RM5 per transfer or any other amount the Manager deem appropriate.
  • No switching fee as the switching facility is not available for the Fund.
  • Base currency is Malaysian Ringgit.
  • Minimum balance of investment is 1000 unit.
  • No annual management fee.
  • Trustee Fee is 0.04% per annum of the NAV of the Fund subject to a minimum of RM18,000.00 per annum (excluding foreign custodian fees and charges)
  • Minimum Initial Investment is RM5,000.00 and minimum additional investment is RM1000.00.
  • Minimum redemption amount is 1000 units. Redemption monies to be paid within ten (10) calendar days from the date of redemption request is received by the Manager.
  • Cooling off period, unit holders may exercise cooling-off rights within six (6) business days commencing from the date the application of investment received by the Manager.
