Who can open an MGIA account?

  • Individual Account: Individuals of all ages. For those below 18 years old, the account must be opened with a parent(s) or legal guardian as a trustee.
  • Non-Individual Account: Joint account holders (up to 4 people), Sole Proprietors, Partnerships, and Companies.

How to buy and sell

Enjoy the convenience of trading gold and managing your Maybank Gold Investment Account (MGIA) online* via Maybank2u. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to www.maybank2u.com.my
  2. Click on the ‘WEALTH’ tab and select ‘Gold & Silver’ to view account
  3. Click on the drop down menu to buy or sell gold
  4. Select your account and key in the amount (gm), then click ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’
  5. Check your details and click ‘CONFIRM’ to complete your transaction

 

You can also purchase gold with your Maybank Debit and Credit Card at all Maybank branches. However, no TreatsPoints can be collected from these purchases.

For Non-Individual Account holders, please head to the nearest branch to make your transactions.

*Note: Gold trading service is available via Maybank2u from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday excluding FT public holidays.
