What is DuitNow Transfer


Effective 21 August 2021, ‘DuitNow-Instant Transfer’ will be renamed to ‘DuitNow Transfer’ on Maybank2u, Maybank2u Biz, Maybank App MY and MAE.

Benefits


  • Immediate fund transfer/credit card & loan payment to recipient.- Real-time fund transfer to beneficiary account.
  • Convenient way to transfer funds and make payment - There's no need to queue at the bank or ATM to transfer funds.
  • Safe & Reliable - Secure mode of fund transfer as it eliminates the use of cash.
  • Verification of beneficiary account - The name of account holder will be displayed upon entering the beneficiary account number.
  • Effective 1st August 2018, no service fee will be charged for Instant Transfer (IBFT) for transactions made via Maybank2u web, Maybank MY app, and MAE app (excluding ATM).

Transfer


For funds transfer via Maybank2u Web:

  • Step 1: Login and go to Pay & Transfer > Transfer
  • Step 2: From the ‘Transfer To’ section, select Other Accounts > Account number
  • Step 3: Search for the bank name, fill in the transfer details and choose DuitNow Transfer and click Transfer
  • Step 4: Key in TAC number or confirm your transaction with Secure2u. You’re done!

For funds transfer via Maybank2u Classic / Maybank2u Biz Web:

  • Step 1: Login and go to Accounts & Banking > Transfers > New Interbank Fund Transfer
  • Step 2: Select recipient’s bank and fill in the details
  • Step 3: Select DuitNow Transfer as mode of transfer
  • Step 4: Key in TAC number or confirm your transaction with Secure2u. You’re done!

For funds transfer via MAE app:

  • Step 1: From the main dashboard, tap on Transfer under Quick Actions
  • Step 2: Login and go to the ‘Others’ tab > select Instant
  • Step 3: Select recipient’s bank and fill in the transfer details
  • Step 4: Under Transfer mode, select “DuitNow Transfer”
  • Step 5: Confirm your transaction. You’re done!

For funds transfer via Maybank2u MY app:

  • Step 1: Login and tap on Transfer
  • Step 2: Select Bank and fill in the transfer details
  • Step 3: Select DuitNow Transfer as mode of transfer and tap Proceed
  • Step 4: Confirm your transaction with Secure2u. You’re done!

Daily transfer limit


The maximum combined limit for DuitNow Transfer (to account) , Interbank GIRO (IBG) and DuitNow is RM50,000 per day.You can change your transaction limits in the settings.

Let’s say you’ve set your daily limit to the maximum amount, here are some examples:

  • If you’ve made a DuitNow Transfer (to account) transaction of RM10,000, you can only transfer up to RM40,000 via IBG and DuitNow on the same day.
  • If you’ve made an IBG transaction of RM20,000 and a DuitNow transaction of RM20,000, you can only transfer up to RM10,000 via DuitNow Transfer (to account) on the same day.
  • If you’ve made an DuitNow Transfer (to account) transaction of RM50,000, you will not be able to make any more fund transfers via IBG and DuitNow on the same day.

Your limit can be changed via Maybank2u website. Simply login to your account and go to Settings > Pay & Transfer > Transfer Limit to review your limit.

*A customer can have the flexibility to enjoy a higher transfer limit based on the total investable assets with the bank.
