The Katingan Mentaya Project, Indonesia
Protecting one of the largest remaining areas of intact peat swamp forest in Southeast Asia, the Katingan Peatland Restoration and Conservation Project covers almost 150,000 hectares of peatland in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Peatlands play a significant ecological role by reducing flood risk, absorbing large quantities of carbon, and supporting flora and fauna such as the Bornean Orangutans and Proboscis Monkeys.

Kuamut Rainforest Conservation, Sabah, Malaysia
The Kuamut Rainforest Conservation Project is a forest carbon project that is protecting and restoring 83,381 hectares of tropical forest in Sabah. This the country’s first certified nature-based carbon offset initiative, internationally recognized by BeZero Carbon (Best-in-Class) and awarded Gold Level under the Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) Standards.
The project is delivering on three core objectives:
- Climate: Protect and restore the carbon-rich forest, whilst preventing the emissions from the planned deforestation and forest degradation of the area. This will help mitigate the global climate crisis.
- Community: Improve the lives, well-being and sustainable economic opportunities of the communities living around the forest area.
- Conservation: Monitor and research species and ecosystem health and safeguard habitats to increase the chances for tropical forest biodiversity to thrive.
