General - (1.1) What happens if I have both Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (formerly known as Aseambankers) as well as Maybankinvest / Maybankinvest-i trading accounts?

You will be given the option to choose which account to trade with.

Yes, you will be paid interest based on the existing Premier 1 Account rates.

Account - (2.1)Who is eligible to apply for Maybankinvest?

An individual who is aged between 21 years and 65 years with a Malaysian Onshore Bank Account.

Account - (2.2)Can I apply for a Maybank Share Trading account via Maybank2u.com? 

Yes, you can. Login to Maybank2u.com with your Username and Password. Select Online Application. Then select Non-margin Facility. Type in your personal details and then "Submit". You will be notified by our Investment Share Executives, once your application has been approved.

Account - (2.3)What is the minimum financing amount a customer can apply for under Maybank margin financing?

The minimum financing amount is RM50,000.

CDS trading account can be opened at Equity Investment Centre, Equity Investment Kiosk or through Maybank2U (for existing Maybank2U users).

(3.1)How do I know if my trades are confirmed?

You can check your trade order status online under "Order Status". 

Trading and Settlement - (3.2) How do I make payment after I have purchased shares?

All purchases will be debited from your margin account on the settlement date. Ensure you have sufficient funds in your account on the settlement date (T+2). All sales proceeds will be credited to your margin account on the settlement date.

Trading and Settlement - (3.3) What is Direct Uncleared Purchase (DUP)?

This is the available trading limit for which you are required to settle within the T+2 settlement date. If you do not settle, the shares will be force sold.

Trading and Settlement -(3.4)What is Committed Uncleared Purchase (CUP)?

Where there is available cash or margin balance in the account at the time of placing the purchase order, the said order can be tagged as 'CUP' trade. Cash or margin balance will be locked for 'CUP' trade settlement.

Trading and Settlement - (3.5)What happens if I don't pay for my DUP purchases by the settlement date?

Force selling will be executed on T+3.

Withdrawal -(4.2) When can I perform cash withdrawal?

Only settled sales proceeds or credit balances are allowed to be withdrawn from SMF account.

Withdrawal - (4.3) Can I transfer the cash withdrawal to 3rd party account / other banks (GIRO)?

No, cash withdrawal is strictly through your own personal accounts maintained at Maybank.

Withdrawal - (4.4)Do I get my monies immediately through cash withdrawal?

Cash withdrawal is not an instant transfer. Your balances will be updated within the same day for withdrawal request submitted before 4.30pm.
