1. Who can perform additional ASNB investment through the MAE app and Maybank2u web?

Additional investment through the MAE app and Maybank2u web is open to all registered ASNB investors and MAE & M2U registered users.

2. How do I transfer to my own ASNB account via the MAE app and Maybank2u web? Via the MAE app

STEP 1: Under Quick Actions, tap ‘Transfer’
STEP 2: Go to the ‘ASNB’ tab and select your account under ‘Favourites’
STEP 3: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your transfer

3. Can I invest in other 3rd party accounts via the MAE app and Maybank2u web?

Yes, you can. You are required to key in the 3rd party's membership number and NRIC as registered in ASNB's record.

STEP 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your transfer

4. What is the minimum and maximum amount I can invest via the MAE app and Maybank2u web?

The minimum amount is RM1.00 for existing funds, and RM10.00 for new funds. The maximum amount will depend on the individual's eligible maximum investment limit, fund availability and daily transfer limit set by the customer.

5. How can I manage my ASNB transfer limit via the MAE app and Maybank2u web?

You can change your ASNB transfer limit at the MAE app or Maybank2u web settings. Note: For limit increase, the new limit will be reflected after 12 hours as a security measure.

STEP 1: Go to ‘Settings’ and select ‘Pay & Transfer’
STEP 2: Select ‘Transfer’
STEP 3: Select ‘Transfer Limit’
STEP 4: Select ‘ASNB Own Account Transfer’ or ‘ASNB 3rd Party Transfer’
STEP 5: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your change

Via Maybank2u web
STEP 1: Go to ‘SETTINGS’
STEP 2: Go to ‘PAY & TRANSFER’ and select ‘Transfer Limit’
STEP 3: Select ‘ASNB Own Account Transfer’ or ‘ASNB 3rd Party Transfer’
STEP 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your change

6. What are the operating hours of ASNB transfers via the MAE app and Maybank2u web?

Monday to Sunday, 2.00am to 9.00pm

7. Can I invest an amount with cents (sen), for example RM10,001.90?

The investment amount must be rounded to the nearest Ringgit Malaysia. That means you can invest RM10,001.00 or RM10,002.00. Sen is not accepted.

8. How long will it take for ASNB to process my investment through the MAE app and Maybank2u web?

Fixed Price Fund Investments that have been successfully received will be processed on the same day.

Variable Forward Price Fund (Local) Investments made after 4:00 PM that have been successfully received will be processed on the next business day. The number of units of ASNB Variable Forward Price Fund (Foreign) Investments in which the fund has foreign exposure is determined by the price per unit of the respective funds. It will be available within 2 business days for transactions before 4:00 PM or up to 3 business days for transactions after 4:00 PM.

9. Can I withdraw my ASNB investment via the MAE app and Maybank2u web?

At the present time, withdrawal must be done over the counter at Maybank branches, fully operational ASNB offices and at any ASNB agents. Online withdrawal can only be done via myASNB portal and myASNB mobile app during operating hours.

10. Is there any possibility that my transaction can’t be processed by ASNB?

Your online ASNB transactions may be unsuccessful due to the following reasons:

  • Invalid ASB membership number
  • Invalid NRIC number
  • Total Investment amount has reached the maximum individual limit
  • Total investment amount has reached the maximum ASNB daily limit transfer
  • Total investment amount has exceeded the available fund
  • Accounts tagged with a specific reason which would require the customer to visit branch for further checking
  • Transactions done outside of operating hours.

11. Will the bank notify me if my transaction is rejected?

Upon request, the bank will send a Payment Confirmation / Credit Advice to inform that the investment has been refunded to your bank account.

12. What if I had forgotten my ASNB membership number?

You may check at any Maybank branches, ASNB offices and other ASNB agents.

13. What happens if I accidently select an invalid account number to invest in?

Your transaction will be rejected by ASNB and the amount invested will be refunded. However, the RM1.00 service fee is non-refundable.
