The Maybank Wealth App will be de-activated from 31 December 2024

Dear Valued Customers,

Kindly be informed that the Maybank Wealth App (‘the app’) will be de-activated from 31 December 2024, and wealth updates will no longer be reflected via the app. Maybank Wealth App users can still access the app from now until 31 December 2024 - after the de-activation date, however, you will no longer be able to access the app and you may delete the app from your phone.

From 1 January 2025, please refer to these channels to access information contained in the app:

Still using the Maybank Wealth app? We recommend you download and switch to the MAE app for an improved wealth management experience. With the MAE app, you can easily perform transactions and also view and manage all your assets and investments in one app.

The MAE app is available for download from:

Please note that you will require a Maybank2u ID (M2U ID) to access the MAE app. Here’s how to sign up and create your M2U ID via the MAE app:

Step 1: Download ‘MAE by Maybank2u’ from your official mobile app store

Step 2: Tap ‘No account? Apply for a MAE account now’

Step 3: Enter your details

Step 4: Take a photo of your Identification Card (front and back)

Step 5: Create your Maybank2u ID

Step 6: Your account will soon be activated!

Prefer to create your M2U ID via Maybank2u web? Please note that you will need your Debit Card number to complete the process. Here’s how:

Step 1: Visit www.maybank2u.com.my

Step 2: Click ‘Register Now’ at the top right corner of your screen

Step 3: Enter your Debit Card number and 6-digit PIN. Then, agree to the Terms & Conditions and click ‘Continue’

Step 4: Create your Maybank2u username and password. Then, key in your email. Enter the TAC number sent to your registered mobile and click ‘Confirm’

Step 5: Set up your security image, phrases and security questions to secure your account

Step 6: Click ‘Done’ to complete registration and login to Maybank2u

  1. Why is the Maybank Wealth App being de-activated?

    The Maybank Wealth App is being de-activated to bring you an enhanced experience through the MAE app, while we simultaneously develop a more sophisticated digital wealth solution. These changes are made to bring you a seamless experience in 2025.

  2. What happens after the de-activation of the Maybank Wealth App?

    You will no longer be able to access the app or any of its features after 31 December 2024. However, you will still be able to receive all privileges such as newsletters and events that are delivered straight to your email inbox. Just ensure you keep an updated email address with us to continuously receive them. To update your contact details, please contact your Relationship Manager.

  3. Why should I use the MAE app?

    i. All your accounts in one app: Access all your accounts currently available in the Maybank Wealth app and more – conveniently within the MAE app.
    ii. Everyday banking made easy: Perform essential banking transactions directly on the MAE app
    iii. Enhanced security: The MAE app prioritises your financial security with 6-tier security features, including:

    • Secure2u
    • Biometric login (fingerprint or Face ID)
    • One app, one device binding
    • Kill Switch for immediate account deactivation
    • Ability to hide your account balance
    • Instant transaction alerts via push notification

  4. Where can I find my Wealth details in the MAE app?

    Follow these steps to manage your wealth on the MAE app:

    Step 1: Launch the MAE app

    Step 2: Tap ‘Accounts’

    Step 3: Log in to your account

    Step 4: Go to the ‘WEALTH’ tab to view your total investments and accounts

    Step 5: Tap ‘View Wealth Portfolio’ to see a breakdown of your Assets and Liabilities. Go to the ‘Asset Classification’ tab to see your:

    • Savings Accounts
    • Current Accounts
    • Fixed Deposits
    • Master Foreign Currency Accounts (MFCA)
    • Gold & Silver Investment Accounts
    • Unit Trusts
    • Shares
  5. I don’t see all my accounts on the MAE app. What do I do?

    After logging in to the MAE app with your Maybank2u ID (M2U ID), you may notice that some accounts are missing because they haven’t been linked to your M2U ID yet. Not to worry, you will just need to visit a branch to set up PAN tagging and link them to your M2U ID.

    If your account is missing, contact your trusted Relationship Manager directly. Inform them about your missing account and your Relationship Manager will assist you in resolving the issue. Then, you should see your account reflected within the next few hours.

  6. I don't know who my Relationship Manager is. What do I do?

    You can walk into any Premier Wealth Centre/Branch and request this information from a Bank representative so that they can check your assigned Relationship Manager information.

  7. I have changed my email address. How do I update my registered email address with the Bank?

    For any updates or changes in personal information, you will need to visit any Premier Wealth Centre/Branch so that a Bank representative may get your verification and sign-off for the Service Request form. They will then update your information via the system.
