  • Potential to earn higher returns with indicative profit rate. Profits gained from investment are shared between Customer and Bank based on a previously agreed profit sharing ratio. Profits are paid monthly and are not subject to tenure or number of withdrawals
  • Placement tenure : 1 - 60 months

Required Primary Documents:

  • Original Identity Card (IC) for Malaysians and Passports for foreigners
  • Please also bring along any of the following secondary supporting documents:
    • Valid Passport (if IC is produced as a Primary document)
    • Valid driving licence
    • Utility bills (e.g. water/electricity/telephone bills, Quit Rent, Assessment Notice) in the name and address of the customer opening the account
    • Letter of employment
    • Credit card

Discontinuation of certificate issuance for General Investment Account-i placement for retail customers.

Effective 7 December 2019, Maybank Islamic Berhad will no longer be issuing certificates for new placements made over-the-counter (OTC) by retail individual customers. However, an acknowledgement slip will be provided to customers as evidence of the placement made.

The implementation of Certless placements will provide greater convenience for customers as presentation of placement slips for the upliftment of the General Investment Account-i will no longer be required from that date.
