The recent tsunami disaster that struck parts of West Malaysia is considered
the worst natural catastrophe Malaysia had experienced. Lives and properties
were destroyed and those affected require assistance to rebuild their
lives again. Maybank is providing convenient channels to those who wish
to contribute and support the national effort to assist those affected
by the disaster.
You can also join in with other caring Malaysians and show your compassion
for those affected by this disaster by contributing to the Star / Maybank
Tsunami Relief Fund. To kick-start the Fund, Maybank has pledged RM1 million
for the victims of the Tsunami tragedy.
1. How Can I Contribute to the Star / Maybank Tsunami Relief Fund
Maybank has set up the following Maybank Accounts, No. 114013169092
and No. 514011389072 for the Fund. You may contribute to this Fund
via either of these accounts using any of the following channels:

2. How long is the Fund campaign?
The Star / Maybank Tsunami Relief Fund is opened from December 29,
2004 to January 31, 2005.
3. How will my donation be channelled to those affected?
At the end of the campaign period, your donation together with Maybank’s
contribution will be channelled to the government National Disaster
Management and Relief Committee. The Deputy Prime Minister is the
Chairman of NDMRC. We will provide details of the presentation at Maybank2u.com.
