There may be instances wherein emails supposedly coming from Maybank advising recipients to click on email links and key in their User IDs, passwords and Transaction Authorization Code to verify integrity of your accounts or to update your account information.

Please be informed that Maybank Philippines shall never send email to activate your internet banking account nor authorized any type of email of this nature.

This email is a form of phishing which is the process of “attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication”.

In case you have received such instructions via email or instant messaging, please ignore and delete. You should not access or click the links (to websites) provided. To ensure that you are on the legitimate m2u internet banking site, please type in www.maybank2u.com.ph and click Login, found at the upper right corner of the screen. In addition, the Bank has implemented a security feature showing your selected image and image name, which will be shown every time you login.

Furthermore, never divulge nor provide any confidential or personal information (e.g. ATM PINs, Passwords, Date of Birth, and Mother’s Maiden Name), which could be used for verification purposes without your knowledge or authorization.

The above action likewise applies also to existing customers and non-customers inquiring about this concern.
