What is an Investment Management Account (IMA)?
Investment management account is an arrangement where prudent investment activity is executed on behalf of the trust-client (or principal) either on discretionary (unrestricted) or directional authority. Investment action may require principal's prior approval or the principal may grant full discretionary authority for quick investment/divestment decisions to immediately address market volatilities. At any time, principal may adjust the scope of the investment agent/manager's authority to suit his preference.
The arrangement would offer the principal direct access to high yielding investment outlets. Principal may be individuals, corporations, or even institutions.
