Zakat & Donations

One of the most important principles of Islam is that all things belong to God, and that wealth is therefore held by human beings in trust. The word Zakat means both 'purification' and 'growth'. Our possessions are purified by setting aside a proportion for those in need, and, like the pruning of plants, this cutting back balances and encourages new growth.

Sharing whatever one has with one's fellow being will enrich the former in many ways.

The Ibadah of Korban and Aqiqah is much more than just distributing meat. It is an act of subservience to the will of Allah in bringing good to fellow human beings. During Ramadhan the act of goodwill is much more meritorious.

For the past seventeen years Malaysians have been performing the Ibadah of Korban and Aqiqah in Cambodia. The act of Aqiqah will be performed during Ramadhan for participation received before the 20th of Ramadhan this year. Also, 5% of the participation fees for the act of Korban will be used to feed the poor during Ramadhan. This programme is monitored by JAKIM and the annual report is submitted to the embassy of Malaysia in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Each participant will receive a certificate endorsed by the Mufti of Cambodia stating the time and place where the act of Korban and Aqiqah has been performed.
