Investment Objective

The Fund aims to achieve long-term* capital appreciation through an over-the-counter derivative investment in the form of a swap agreement that is linked to the agricultural commodities sector.

*Note: "long-term" in this context refers to a period of between 5-7 years.

Asset Allocation

Up to 100% of Net Asset Value ("NAV")

  • Investments in bonds, money market instruments, cash and deposits with financial institutions.

Up to 10% of NAV

  • As capital payment for an investment in an OTC derivative instrument in the form of a swap agreement that will provide the Fund with exposure to the agricultural commodities sector. With this investment, the Fund can have a Notional Amount of up to 100% of the Fund‟s Net Asset Value exposed to a Contag Index.

Distribution Policy

Consistent with the Fund's objective which aims to achieve long term capital appreciation, distribution will therefore be of secondary importance. Distribution, if any, will be reinvested after deduction of taxation, if any, and expenses.

Repurchase Charge per Unit

The repurchase charge of 1.00% of the redemption amount is payable by a Unit Holder if he redeems his investments within the 6 months period commencing from the last day of the Initial Offer Period. After the 6 months period, no repurchase charge will be levied. All repurchase charges paid by the Unit Holders will be retained by the Manager.

Switching Fee

RM25.00 per switch or the difference in sales charge between the switching funds on the amount to be switched, where applicable.

Switching is available (except during the Initial Offer Period).

Minimum Balance of Investment

100 Units or such other quantity as the Manager may from time to time decide.

Annual Management Fee

1.50% per annum of Net Asset Value before deducting the Manager's and Trustee's fees for that particular day.

Trustee Fee

0.08% per annum of Net Asset Value before deducting the Manager's and Trustee's fees for that particular day, subject to a minimum of RM18,000 per annum (excluding foreign custodian fees and charges).

Min Additional Investment

RM100 or such other amount as the Manager may from time to time accept.


** Although this is a fixed income fund, the Fund can have exposure of up to 100% of its Net Asset Value to the performance of a commodity based index selected from a pool of 3 indices based on the J.P. Morgan Contag Agriculture Class A Excess Return Index, [namely the Contag Beta Agriculture Excess Return Index-Beta Index ("Beta Index"), the Contag Beta Agriculture Excess Return Index-Alpha Index ("Alpha Index") and the Contag Beta Agriculture Excess Return Index-Alpha Beta Index ("Alpha Beta Index")] which are linked to the agricultural commodities sector, via a swap agreement. As such, there is a likelihood that the Fund may be subjected to high volatility.
