Institute Cargo Clauses A such as:

• Fire and explosion
• Sinking, stranding, grounding, capsising
• Collision or contact
• Earthquake, volcanic eruption, lightning
• General average sacrifice
• Jettison and washing overboard
• Discharge of cargo at port of distress
• Entry of sea, lake or river water into vessel
• Theft, pilferage and non-delivery

Cargoes covered

All general cargoes which are non-perishable. The following are examples of cargoes/shipment not covered:

• Precious metals, gold bullion, antiques, works of art, cash, jewellery, precious stones, documents of value, deeds, manuscripts and stamps
• Tug and barge shipments
• Handphones
• Hard disk drives
• Integrated circuit
• Livestock/bloodstock e.g. sheep, cattle, horses, etc
• Frozen/fresh food
• Shipment on wooden vessels
