Outward Telegraphic Transfer Payments

Mandatory Action Required To Be Taken By Customers of Maybank2E Online Banking Services ("Maybank2E")

We have upgraded the ‘payment purpose' and ‘description of payment' fields for outward telegraphic transfer via the M2E-RC to be in line with Bank Negara Malaysia's ("BNM") Financial Exchange Administration Rules ("FEA Rules").

Arising therefrom and effective 2 October 2016, it is mandatory for all outward telegraphic transfers to comply with the following requirements ("Mandatory Requirements"):

a) Payment Purpose Code; and

b) Your declaration on compliance with the FEA Rules.

Payment description and supporting documents are also required by the Bank to perform the necessary verification to expedite processing. Supporting documents must be submitted to the Bank via email at m2e.ottdocument@maybank.com‎.

We reserve the right to reject the outward telegraphic transfer should you fail to comply with the Mandatory Requirements ("Rejected Outward Telegraphic Transfer"). We disclaim any and all liability, howsoever arising, whether to you or any other person and you shall fully indemnify us against any losses that we may suffer as a result of the Rejected Outward Telegraphic Transfer.
