1. What is online registration?
This is a new online feature that allows customers to register for Internet Banking service using their ATM, Debit Card, Credit Card or Access Number credentials without visiting the branch or ATM.
2. Who can perform the Online Registration?
New personal and sole proprietor customers who have yet to register for Internet Banking service can perform the online registration.
SME customers will NOT be able to perform the online registration. Registration for Business Electronic Banking services must be done at the branch by completing the application form with authorised signatories.
3. What information do I need to perform online registration for Internet Banking?
To register, you must have one of the followings:
a) Debit/ ATM Card
Enter your 16-digit Maybank Debit Card number as it appears on the front of your Debit/ ATM Card, followed by your 6-digit Debit/ ATM PIN
b) Credit Card
Enter your 16-digit Maybank Credit Card number as it appears on the front of your Credit Card, followed by your 6-digit Credit Card PIN
c) Access Number
For customers without ATM/Debit/Credit Card, enter the access number obtained from the branch, followed by your 6-digit Internet Banking PIN selected for the 1st time.
4. What if my mobile number is wrong or has not been updated by the bank?
If the mobile number is wrong or not updated by the bank, you will not be able to perform online registration. Please contact our Customer Service at 1 300 88 6688 to update your mobile number with the bank.
5. How many times can I try my ATM/ Debit/ Credit Card number/ Access Number and PIN before I get locked out?
You may validate your ATM/Debit/Credit Card/Access number against the PIN up to a maximum of THREE (3) times. The credentials will be blocked for online registration service after the maximum attempts.
6. What should I do if I am locked out of the Online Registration process?
Please call our Customer Service at 1 300 88 6688 to request for PIN reset.
7. Will I get an SMS notification upon successful registration?
Yes, you will receive an SMS notification to your registered mobile number upon successful registration.
8. Is it secure to use ATM/ Debit/ Credit Card PIN on Maybank2u?
Yes, we are using the latest encryption technology to protect your PIN usage from possible fraud or hacking activities.
