Please be informed that there is a fake LHDN email circulating around.
The email contains a link which directs customer to a fake LHDN website requesting for their Internet Banking details such as ATM card number, Card CVV, Expiry Date, Card Pin, Registered Mobile Number, Registered email and the New IC/passport number. After the customer has entered the details, an SMS will be sent prompting the customer to download a mobile app which may contain a malicious malware.
PLEASE DO NOT respond to such email!
LHDN has issued an alert to inform the public that they did not send such email and advised public NOT to respond to it.
If you have responded to the fake LHDN email, please URGENTLY follow the instructions below:
- Contact Maybank Group Customer Care at 03-5891 4744
- Scan your mobile phone using the latest anti-malware & anti-virus recommended by Cyber Security Malaysia.
- Do not use the infected mobile phone for any financial transaction until you have scanned it.
