a) What is Maybank Agent Banking with POS Malaysia?
i) It is a partnership with POS Malaysia to extend our reach as well as convenience to customers.
ii) It offers specific banking activities to Maybank customers who can go to the selected POS offices instead of Maybank branches to perform the following over-the-counter transactions:

  • Cash Deposits
  • Cash Payments
  • Cash Withdrawals

b) Can I open a Maybank account at POS Agent Bank?
No, those who wish to open a Maybank account must do it at a Maybank branch


c) Can I go to all POS Malaysia outlets to conduct my Maybank Transactions?
Maybank transactions can only be performed at selected 350 POS Outlets nationwide. The list of POS Outlets can be referred to Maybank2u website under "Ejen Bank" section.


d) What are the Maybank transactions that I can do at POS Agent Bank outlets?
The transactions that are allowed are:-

  • Cash Deposits 
  • Cash Payments 
  • Cash Withdrawals

e) Will I be charged any transaction fees if I do my Maybank transactions at POS Agent Bank outlets?
All transactions are free of charge.


f) Will the transactions that I do at POS Agent Bank outlet be immediately reflected in my Maybank Accounts?
Yes. All transactions are performed on real-time basis.


g) What are the operating hours where a customer can perform Maybank Transactions at POS Agent Bank outlets?
The operating hours for Maybank Transactions a POS Agent Bank are as follows:-

All states (except Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu:

  • Monday to Thursday - 9.15 am to 4.30 pm
  • Friday - 9.15 am to 4.00 pm

Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu:

  • Monday to Thursday - 9.15 am to 4.30 pm
  • Friday - 9.15 am to 4.00 pm

h) Can I go to any counter at POS Agent Bank to do my Maybank Transactions?
No. You must go to the designated counters at POS Agent Bank outlets.

2. Deposits

a) How much cash can I deposit every day?
Deposits are limited to:-

  • RM 25,000.00 for Normal Accounts per account per day.
  • RM 10,000.00 for External Accounts per account per day.

b) Can I deposit cheques in my Accounts?
No. At the moment, cheques cannot be deposited to Maybank account through POS Agent Bank.


c) What are the documents I need to make a deposit?

  • You need to fill in a Pay-in slip.
  • Your passbook if available.

d) Do I need any identification to make a deposit?
No. You don't need to produce any identification.

3. Payments

a) Can I make payments on my loans at POS Agent Bank outlets?
Yes, you can make the following payment at POS Agent Bank outlets:-

  • Housing Loans
  • Term Loans
  • Credit Cards
  • Hire Purchase Loans

b) Can I partially or fully settle my loans at POS Agent Bank outlets?
No. You can only partially or fully settle your loans at Maybank Branches.

4. Withdrawal

a) How much cash withdrawals can I make at POS Agent Bank outlets?
You can withdraw up to a maximum of RM 5,000.00 per account per day at POS Agent Bank outlets.


b) What are the accounts that I can withdraw from?
You can make withdrawals from the following accounts:-

  • Savings Accounts i.e Normal Savings and Passbookless Savings Accounts.

c) What are the documents that I need to make a withdrawal?

  • A completed withdrawal form.
  • Produce your identification - MyKad, Police/Armed Forces ID, Passport.
  • Passbook - for normal Savings Account.
  • Maybank ATM Card - for Passbookless Savings Account.

d) Can I use my temporary MyKad or Driver's License to make my withdrawal?
No, POS Agent Bank outlets will only accept MyKad, Police/Armed Forces ID and Passport as proof of identification.


e) Can I make a cash advance from my credit card at POS Agent Bank outlets?
No. You cannot make any cash advance from your credit cards.


f) Can I encash my Cheques at POS Agent Bank outlets?
No. you cannot encash your cheques at POS Agent Bank outlets.
