1.1 If I am an existing Maybank2u Online Stocks client, can I access Global Trading via Maybank2u or do I need to open a new account?
For existing clients who have signed up for the Global Trading facility, you will be prompted with the access screen directly. If you have yet to sign up for the Global Trading facility, please contact your dealers representative for assistance.

1.2 Will I be receiving two sets of User ID and password for Maybank2u Online Stocks and Global Trading?
You may access into Global Trading with the same Maybank2u Online Stocks user ID and password.

1.3 How do I change my User ID and password for Global Trading?
There is no separate ID specifically for Global Trading. You will be logging in using your existing Maybank2u User ID and password.

1.4 What if I forgot my User ID and password for Global Trading?
Your login will be using Maybank2u details. Please call Maybank Group Call Centre at 1 800 6688 for assistance.

1.5 If I have further enquiries or need assistance, whom shall I contact?
You may contact your dealers representative. Please refer to the list of our Equities Investment Centres (EIC) under Customer Service.

1.6 How do I start trading for foreign exchanges?
You will have to deposit cash (at least in the value of intended trade to be done) to Maybank Investment Bank trust account prior to trading and inform the respective dealers representative.

2. Trading

2.1 What are the stock exchanges available for Global Trading via Maybank2u?
The available exchanges for Global Trading via Maybank2u are Singapore Exchange (SGX), Hong Kong Exchange (HKEx), New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation (NASDAQ).

2.2 Where can I obtain the information of corporate actions for all the stock exchanges?
There would be a remark at the counter's name from the exchange should there be any corporate action. However, clients will be contacted by their respective dealers representative should they be entitled.

2.3 Will I be able to amend or withdraw my orders in Global Trading?
You are able to amend or withdraw unmatched orders. No amendments or withdrawals allowed for fully matched orders.

2.4 Am I allowed to contra my foreign exchanges' trades?
Contra trading is not allowed for foreign exchanges.

2.5 Am I allowed to do short-selling in Global Trading via Maybank2u?
Short-selling is not allowed in all markets.

2.6 What are the settlement modes available for settling my foreign shares transaction?
Settlement of contract may be done in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) or foreign currencies. As such, clients have a choice to pay/ keep their sales proceeds in MYR or foreign currencies.

2.7 If I choose to settle my foreign shares transaction in the traded currency, what would be the exchange rate?
The exchange rate will be based on the indicative exchange rate displayed at Maybank2u on the transaction date.

2.8 I am having some problems submitting my foreign shares orders. What can I do?
Please contact your respective dealers representative. Please refer to the list of our Equities Investment Centres (EIC) under Customer Service.

2.9 Do I need to deposit any cash upfront?
Yes, cash deposit in advance is needed.

2.10 How do I know my available trading limit?
Your trading limit viewing option is available from the order submission window. Please note that it is displayed in Singapore Dollar (SGD) using the day's indicative exchange rate.

2.11 Will I be able to amalgamate my Global Trading transactions via Maybank2u?
Your SGX and HKEx will be auto amalgamated. Instead, your NYSE and NASDAQ will not be amalgamated.

2.12 What is the validity period of my Global Trading transactions via Maybank2u?
The orders validity is on a daily basis.

2.13 Can I trade odd lots in Global Trading via Maybank2u?
Odd lots trades are only available via offline method. Please contact your dealers representative for further assistance.

2.14 Are the price quotes for Global Trading via Maybank2u live?
SGX price feed is live while HKEx, NYSE and NASDAQ are delayed.

3.1 Will I receive contract notes for my Global Trading via Maybank2u transactions?
Contract notes will be issued on T+1.

3.2 Will I receive monthly statements for my Global Trading via Maybank2u transactions?
Monthly statements of your Global Trading shares portfolio will be issued.
